This is a regional qualifying event for the Junior Day Football National Showcase that is held annually at AT&T Stadium, Home of the Dallas Cowboys. Qualifying participants will be invited to the national showcase following their regional event and will receive a discount for the national event typically held every July (details to be released in early 2023).

Available Sessions

Morning Session: OL/DL & Kickers/Punters/Long Snappers
Afternoon Session: Skill Positions (QB, RB, WR, TE, CB, LB, S)
Evening Session: 7v7 Controlled Football Games (Skill Positions Only)
The Evening Session must be done in conjunction with either the Morning Session, Afternoon Session, or both.

The Junior Day Football Showcase is designed for high school football players that want to work directly with college coaches in an on-field environment. The event is for those players who are focused on becoming college football student-athletes or want to learn more about that process. The camp will feature quality instruction from college coaches, verbal evaluations provided by the coaching staff through drills & instruction, and a Seminar on the Recruiting Process and College Experience for both players and parents. This segment is designed to help everyone better understand the recruiting process but it is not a sales pitch for any individual program. It focuses on the NCAA rules and some “do’s and don’ts” of the recruiting process.

Objective statistics will also be provided verbally during the event (40 yard dash, broad jump, etc). As a courtesy, those numbers will also be provided after the event through a Report Card that will be emailed to each participant. The Junior Day Football Showcase is open to all high school football players and is restricted in enrollment. The player-to-coach ratio will not exceed 8:1. These camps are in compliance with all NCAA, NAIA, and Junior College recruiting and camp rules.

ALL PLAYERS WILL RECEIVE

  • All campers will be numbered so the coaches can identify each player. Coaches will have up-to-date camp rosters on camp morning.
  • Instruction and evaluations from all coaches attending the event on the current analytical skills & metrics of the college level game.
  • Opportunities to ask questions about their skills and get to know the college coaches.
  • One-on-one and small group instruction.
  • Seminar about the NCAA recruiting process, rules, and regulations.
  • Opportunity to speak with coaches who currently have athletic scholarships, academic scholarships, and/or need-based aid available.

EVALUATION: Each player will receive verbal feedback from the different levels of college football coaches represented at the camp. Coaches will evaluate each player based on their experiences at their level of college football coaching and give feedback when appropriate. This will allow each participating football player the opportunity to get a much clearer idea of where their skills may fit at the college level. Because we want full interaction between coaches and players we do not provide written individual evaluations. We ask our staff to be fully engaged in the teaching and evaluating process and not be lost in a form. For this reason, we highly encourage players to ask questions of the staff and obtain any and all information they would like to know. As a courtesy, statistics recorded at the event are shared electronically. Each Junior Day Football Showcase can differ slightly when it comes to the verbal feedback given. The Showcase portion of camp will feature different formats but will allow the coaches to truly evaluate the level of skills each player has. Players will also be instructed in improving the skills areas that they are having evaluated.

COMPETITION: Players attending will not only receive instruction on techniques and fundamentals, but will have the opportunity to showcase their talents against other athletes at camp. This will happen during agility and reaction competitions throughout the morning and afternoon sessions. Players attending the 7v7 games will receive additional competitive opportunities and evaluations.

SEMINAR ON RECRUITING & THE COLLEGE EXPERIENCE: If the facility and time restraints allow, the seminar will be held in-person. However, if it can’t be held in person then we will hold a Virtual Seminar that will be emailed for all members of the family after the camp. The discussion will cover topics like: The NCAA Recruiting Rules, How to Promote Yourself, What Coaches Look For, The Best Way to Make a Video, What to Expect Playing College Athletics and How to Talk to College Coaches. You will have the opportunity to email questions to the coaches and will come out of the experience having a much better idea of What College Athletics is All About.
